Shape, grind, handle and finish are developed in one workshop as a single functional whole.

Four stages

I choose the steel, handle material and sheath according to the intended use, dimensions and maintenance requirements.

I refine the blade profile, grind and handle shape by hand. This is where balance, grip and proportions are tested.

Heat treatment is matched to the specific steel. The subsequent grinding and edge preparation are adapted to that material.

Fitting the handle, finishing the blade and edges, and making the sheath complete the piece. I check the finish and grip before delivery.
